Outdoor Fun for All Seasons

Sylvan Lake is a starting point for outdoor endeavours of all kinds. Pedal along the town’s paved bike paths, or take it off-road with mountain biking trails. Besides the mile-long beach and lakeshore path, there are scenic hikes and walks in and around the town.

Jarvis Bay Provincial Park just north of town provides great camping opportunities as well as hiking and interpretive trails.

Winter means ice fishing, skating, hockey and curling on the lake, plus cross-country skiing and snowshoeing from Jarvis Bay. Sylvan Lake boasts the longest ice skating trail in North America – a stunning 10 km loop.
